"2012 - A Day in Hospital"

 a short story about a Berlin Hospital...















5.30 am, - my alarm clock starts...

...i open up my eyes and have a strange feeling in my belly.
today is the day i have to go to the hospital for a few days.
they found something and told me that they have to get it away.
it might be some kind of cancer was what they told me a few weeks before.
i was shocked but had to deal the news.
after having a shower and a coffee i had to do a walk with my dog mampf.
friends promised me to take care of him when i will be not home.


my appointment in the hospital was on a wednesday around 10am.
i arrived 15 minutes later, went to the admission to let them know,
that i am there.
they told me to find a seat and that i have to wait a few minutes
for the nurse and the doctor.
after 2 hours sitting in the waiting room i felt forgotten.
i took some photographs inbetween because i had my camera with me.
i went to the office and asked them what`s about...
"oh, you are on top of the list and you will be next..."
i was happy to hear it, but not accepting what happend after.

one hour later a nurse came and told me to move into another room.
she checked my blood pressure and my body temperature and moved out
with the promise that he doctor will come in a few minutes.

the room i was in was having no windows, old yellow walls
and the wallpaper where falling down on different places.
i also started tpo take some picture inside there.
there was a place infront of a window where a monitor was behind.
a computer keyboard and a mouse where placed infront of it.
when i had a look through the viewer of my camera i got the idea
to move the mouse a bit because i would like to have it on another place.
i moved the mouse just a bit and was surprised.
the screen behind the window i was talking about went on and i saw
different open tabs.
one was an alert, the other one a security note and at least i was able to get an access
to the reports of all clients.
there was written that someone has a paranoid schizophrenia
i was not believing what i saw and went closer into it which means i checked how to close
some of the tabs.
another window went up and told me that this compouter was not shutted down for more
than 11 days.

i took a few picture also of this and in the end i turned off the computer.

another one and a half hour was gone and no doctor.
i went angry and felt already scared in the room they left me.
some of the stuff was reminding me of a lynch movie,
but it was not.
i went out to the admission again to ask how long it will take to see the doctor
and that i do not like to wait any longer because 5 hours would be more than enough.
no reaction !
i said that i am gonna go home and that this can not be like this.
the answer was an indifferent "good bye".
another time i was not believing what i`ve heard.
but it was said like this.

i went out of the admission area and walked to the station where they told me i would get my bed.
another situation of ignorance came over me when i told them the whole story.
they said: "good bye".

so i went home, angry like hell and kept the idea to write a report to the hospital and
doing a complaint.
i did it and was asking for an alternative hospital and told them thai wanna have an excuse.
...and i wrote them what i experienced with the note that they have maximum 2 days to answer.

another ignorance.

I haven't had an answer yet...

...and think to make the whole situation public.
